The rules regarding the property under arrest in Azerbaijan will be approved by the Cabinet of Ministers

The Cabinet of Ministers will approve the rules for the improvement, sale, leasing, or management of property seized in Azerbaijan.

As reported by "Report," this is reflected in the draft law on amendments to the Civil Code.

The document was discussed at today's meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Policy and State Building.

It was noted that the amendments aim to increase the effectiveness of measures taken to secure civil claims and special confiscation, while also preventing the loss of value of seized property. Ultimately, these measures serve to protect the property rights of the property owner.

Since the measures related to the management of seized property pertain to the essence of property rights, corresponding amendments to the Civil Code have been proposed.

The draft law is expected to come into force on the date when the relevant rules are determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.
